Hello summer. Hello world.

Hello summer. Hello world.

I am not maintaining regular entries here. However, I am writing a lot these days, painting a great deal, and training extensively. Plenty to engage the mind, body, and soul.

If the sun is shining, I drive out into nature and paint a picture. I fly the drone and breathe in the pure air. I think with gratitude about how fortunate I am to enjoy this beautiful land. What we had to fight for to achieve this, and all that I went through to reach this place and time. Yes, it was exceedingly difficult for a long time, and being paralyzed was quite a bother. But it taught me much. How one can be nearly always happy to be alive, to live with hope.

I plan to share this on Facebook once I've finished writing it, to see if I get any responses. Otherwise, I'm doing this just for myself, practicing my writing, which might be amusing for me to read in 30 years. It also motivates me to make life more enjoyable and interesting.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask. I can't promise I'll answer, but I'll try.

Meanwhile, I am leading a project in Nepal. The first part of it involves organizing an event similar to those I held when I was there. I would arrive and start painting with my mouth in busy, beautiful squares. I hired assistants who invited interested passersby to paint with me. Then, I watched people enjoy forgetting their worries and falling into a creative flow. The rich and the poor, families and orphans, the young and the old—a powerful experience.

The plan is to have disabled Nepalese artists, instead of myself, invite others to create art with them. Selected works will be part of an exhibition starting in Kathmandu and then traveling to Iceland. More on that later.

I am also in talks with a producer in India to explore the possibility of creating a travel series about me exploring the country, meeting Ayurvedic practitioners and other healers.

Additionally, my cousin Ýmir has an exhibition on May 8th at the Portfolio Gallery. He is one of the most sought-after and talented contemporary artists in Europe. He sells everything he creates. I am proud of him.

Hmm, something to conclude with…
What should I end with?...

Many thoughts come to mind.
….
Presidential elections: glad I did not run.
Whaling and ocean based fish farming: opposed.
Optimistic about humanity's future: yes, indeed, but it will be challenging. I am a techno-optimist, believing that technology and science will save us.

Alright, that's enough for now.
Until we meet again.
